After a long day of roaming the halls of the great palace we became a tad hungry and as we were about to consult a map we found a sign and doorway at the start of a hall with white and black checkered floors just outside the State Apartments circuit that lead us to Angelina.
We waited in queue for about 10 minutes to be seated for dine in. There was also the option to pick up at a counter for those who did not have the time to stop, but since we we we didn't have any time restraints we decided to sit in. Along the walls where we waited in queue there were miraculous coloured boxes and jars of all different types of confectionary delights, that it was hard not to want to try everything.
Once it was our turn, we were seating in one of their 2 small dining rooms with about 8 empty tables, and a large open window, letting in a wonderful breeze. The walls were painted gold and lined with mirrors so that the the sun shined even brighter as it reflected across the different surfaces.
We had known at the very least that Angelina was quite famous for their chocolate so we decided to order their hot chocolate with cream. It came in a mid sized ceramic pitcher and their signature cups. Along with our drinks we each ordered a quiche, mine with a salmon, cream and broccoli and the second with ham and cheese. They were a delightful treat and gave us the energy needed to explore the gardens of versailles in the afternoon.
